Resources Roundup – Mar’23

Posted by

Where did the first two months of the year disappear? I wouldn’t know – I ‘m still looking for them!

One of my major highlights in February was the acceptance of my microfiction piece ‘All Grease No Shine’ in the latest edition of the Bath Flash Fiction Award anthology! After multiple attempts, I finally made it to the longlist! Though it went no further, I was thrilled with this recognition! I consider it my first step towards the shortlist and perhaps one day even winning the whole thing!!

As I had mentioned in my earlier posts, I will be focusing mainly on the Resources posts for this year. There’s hordes of submission calls which you can start sending your work to right away!

Not writing-related but I’m an avid cloud admirer and photographer, so this thread caught my fancy: The Cultural Tutor on Twitter: “How to recognise 15 common cloud formations: https://t.co/uD25Q61hTe” / Twitter

If you’re looking for someone to blame, here’s a solution: Paul Fairie on Twitter: “A List of Things People Blamed on Women

I found this a new concept for me and something I might try going forward: Adam O’Fallon Price on Twitter: “🚨🚨🚨 Doing a thing in class on One-Way Gates and feel inclined to do a dreaded Craft Thing about it here”

Over on the tech side of things, the debate still rages: Is Google’s Reign Over? ChatGPT Emerges As A Serious Competitor | LinkedIn

Maybe a productivity fad but I don’t mind trying tips from this article.

I received a kind rejection from Baltimore Review, which also provided a long list of submission avenues:
