It’s been a good month for reading. I’ve got a mix of books in my list, like every time. But this one is more eclectic, mixing fiction, nonfiction and even one that’s actually for my work! Take note, though, that I read some of them for months on end, as in, I put them down and pick them up again later on! But that’s how I read – according to the whims and fancies of the eccentric reader in me!
Take a look at my stock this month:
The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel
This new bestseller that helps with understanding how people think about money. I’m reading a paperback version of this book, and surprisingly its one that both my husband and I were keen to get our hands on. He ordered it but I pounced on it first and I am about two chapters in.
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn
Another thriller that’s been languishing on my TBR pile! I haven’t started it yet but have lined it up for next week. Like I’ve done for most novels in this genre, I expect to finish it within a day or two.
Effortless Mastery: Liberating the Master Musician Within, Book & Online Audio by Kenny Werner
Believe it or not, this is a book recommended by my piano teacher! It’s something I’ve just dipped my toes into. I’ve taken a look and will begin on it soon.
The Phoenix Project: A Novel About IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win by Gene Kim
Being an IT person, this one had me interested for a while. I started it almost 6 months ago as an audiobook, something I listen to on Audible while on my morning walks. As I took a break from my walks, the book too shifted to the backburner. I have resumed it now, and though hearing a book takes a lot longer than reading, I expect to finish it soon!
That’s all I have for this month! Remember, I am always open to book recommendations! There isn’t a book I will not add to my TBR pile/wish list, except possibly horror and gory stuff!
