It’s been a while since I last posted but it’s always nice to share a string of published works after a hiatus.
First up, I contributed to what is called Twitterature at fussub! Here’s my piece, 100 words end-to-end. This was a fun exercise!
Whirlpool in fussub

Then I went even shorter and had a 75-word story published. Check out Instructions for Her Funeral in Paragraph Planet

The National Flash Fiction Day or NFFD held on 14th June also had a series of writing prompts. I wrote a story as part of the NFFD write-in and that was published here:
The Write-In: ‘Let’s Pretend We Didn’t See Each Other’ by Gargi Mehra
And in between all this I had a story longlisted for the famous Smokey awards! I put in a last-minute entry at the Smokey (The SmokeLong Quarterly Award for Flash Fiction), and I made the longlist!
The SmokeLong Quarterly Award for Flash Fiction – The Long List
But alas, that is where my journey ended. Like the best MasterChefs, I got eliminated in this round. Still, top 60 out of 1000+ entries is not bad! So, I am somewhat happy but also feeling slightly murderous.
And finally, have you ever wondered – what’s a day in the office like for a neuron? And how do they handle it when things aren’t going as planned…Check out my story The Neural Highway – A Short Story published in Inspire The Mind, a digital magazine dedicated to mental health.
I also have a story upcoming in Flash Fiction Magazine, but that will take a month or two.
Meanwhile I hope everyone’s healthy and safe, and writing/submitting when they can! Look out for the usual resources coming up at the beginning of the next month!!
